Students build new sustainable construction skills

Construction Technology students have been improving their presentation and exhibition skills in an exciting and innovative assessment strategy.

Thirty-four groups of students worked to research the strengths and limitations of particular sustainable construction materials, products or techniques.

Students celebrate becoming fully qualified dispensing opticians

Students from Anglia Ruskin's Foundation Degree in Ophthalmic Dispensing course have been celebrating after becoming fully qualified dispensing opticians.

The students were the first cohort from this course to directly enter the General Optical Council (GOC) register as fully qualified dispensing opticians as soon as they graduated, without the need for further study or exams.

Optometry student research wins regional award

Two optometry students have been selected as the regional winners in the CooperVision 2014 Student Summit award.

Jessica Massey and Agatha Jaworski, who are both third year students, were selected after submitting a project that investigated how multifocal contact lenses perform in real-world conditions.

VHS colleague visits Sweden for Erasmus programme

In October, Rupal Lovell-Patel, Principal Lecturer and Course Group Leader in the Department of Vision and Hearing Sciences (VHS), visited the Linnaeus University in Kalmar, Sweden as part of the Erasmus Exchange.
