Our free summer schools are for UK students aged 14-18 studying at schools and colleges local to our campuses and the surrounding areas. Some of our Year 12 (students aged 16/17) summer schools are residential, this means students can experience staying in our en suite student accommodation. We also provide evening activities like punting or visiting the cinema. Some of our summer schools involve daytime activity only, and students need to make their own way to and from our campuses. All summer schools have a subject focus; with a range of subjects from Law to Healthcare, there's something for everyone.
"Really engaging, varied activities, free so allowed everyone to be involved" (Student, Architecture Summer School 2014)
[What did you enjoy most?] "Learning how to do the CPR and blood pressures [and] using all of the interactive machinery. Really enjoyed the evening activities and looking around Cambridge." (Student, Healthcare Summer School 2014)
Marketing Summer Schools students in 2014
Our 2014 summer schools brought 166 students onto our campuses, taking part in a range of exciting experiences; such as DNA fingerprinting, filming a news broadcast, solving a murder mystery, pitching a new product and exploring the healthcare setting. Summer schools introduce students to university life in a practical way, helping them to make important decisions about their future.
