FdA Professional Photography exhibition

Date: 18 - 26 May 2011
Private View: Thursday 19 May, 17.00

This exhibition brought together students from the Cambridge School of Art and our partner college Huntingdon Regional College.

The students' work encompassed a wide range of genres and techniques, including portraiture, landscape, fashion and still life. Work was produced in both analogue and digital methods, reflecting the wide range of skills our students acquire during their studies. The work in this exhibition showed a critical understanding of the photographic medium.

Students exhibited in the newly refurbished Ruskin Gallery using state of the art digital displays alongside photographic prints and moving image.

Before the exhibition, Kerstin Hacker (Pathway Leader FdA Professional Photography) said:
"This is a great opportunity for our students to show their talent. The team of lecturers have seen these students grow and mature and become confident and thoughtful photographic practitioners. Almost all of them have already secured employment or continue their studies and join the BA (Hons) Photography for their third year."
