Professor to advise NHS on mental health plan

A professor at Anglia Ruskin University is to be part of a new taskforce set up by NHS England to improve mental health provision in England.

Professor Jamie Hacker Hughes is to represent the British Psychological Society, of which he is President Elect, on the group developing NHS England's new national strategy for mental health.

Anglia Ruskin part of new £6m CUSP project

Anglia Ruskin University is a founding partner of the new Centre for the Understanding of Sustainable Prosperity (CUSP), which has been launched today thanks to a £6million research grant from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).

Cambridge tests for Marathon des Sables runners

Runners competing in the Marathon des Sables, one of the world's greatest endurance tests, are undergoing tests of a different kind in Cambridge this week.

The Marathon des Sables, which begins in Morocco on 5 April, is known as the toughest foot race on earth, with athletes covering a total of 150 miles in just six days.

More than 1,000 have fun at UniFest

More than a thousand people enjoyed action-packed UniFest events at Anglia Ruskin University during March.

This year's event proved popular at both Cambridge and Chelmsford campuses as youngsters aged between six and 16 were invited to meet academic staff, view state-of-the-art facilities and try their hand at a vast range of sports, workshops and activities.
