Anglia Ruskin research recognised for its great impact

UK deaths from Alzheimer's up by 52%

Silent killer Alzheimer's claimed 52% more lives in 2013 than in 1990, according to a study published in The Lancet journal today.

Professor Rupert Bourne, of Anglia Ruskin University's Vision and Eye Research Unit, was involved in researching the data as part of the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) Study 2013, which finds that the average life expectancy for men in the UK rose from 1990....

Professor Packham heads Business School

Professor Gary Packham has been appointed Dean of Anglia Ruskin University's Lord Ashcroft International Business School.

Previously Deputy Dean, Professor Packham also takes on the role of Pro Vice Chancellor with particular emphasis on fostering entrepreneurship. Last month Anglia Ruskin was named Entrepreneurial University of the Year 2014 by Times Higher Education.

Gays and lesbians face bias worldwide

A new report published reveals the inequalities in the labour market faced by gay and lesbian employees worldwide.

Commissioned by the World Bank/IZA World of Labor project, 'Sexual orientation and labor market outcomes' is written by Dr Nick Drydakis of Anglia Ruskin University, and investigates workplace discrimination, earnings and job satisfaction.
